The Tooth Extraction Procedure
After we (with your approval) decide to remove a problem tooth, we’ll administer a local anesthetic to the area so you won’t feel a thing during the procedure. If the tooth is located above the gumline and is fully visible, we’ll gently loosen and wiggle it out of its socket with dental forceps. But, if the tooth is located below the gums, we’ll need to make a small incision before extracting it.
